Role:
As a Penetration Tester (Ethical Hacker), you will be responsible for identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in the organization’s systems to assess their security posture. You will conduct comprehensive penetration tests, report your findings, and recommend remediation actions to strengthen our security defenses.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Penetration Tests: Perform thorough penetration tests on web applications, network infrastructures, and other systems to identify security vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
  • Exploit Vulnerabilities: Simulate real-world attacks to exploit identified vulnerabilities and assess the potential impact on the organization’s systems and data.
  • Report Findings: Document and present detailed findings from penetration tests, including evidence of vulnerabilities, risk assessments, and recommendations for remediation.
  • Recommend Remediation Actions: Provide actionable recommendations and guidance to the security team and relevant stakeholders to address and mitigate identified vulnerabilities.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest security threats, attack techniques, and penetration testing tools to continuously enhance testing methodologies and practices.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with other security professionals, IT teams, and developers to ensure effective communication and coordination during the remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Enhance Testing Procedures: Contribute to the development and improvement of penetration testing procedures, tools, and techniques to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a penetration tester or ethical hacker, with a strong understanding of security testing methodologies and tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced certifications or degrees are a plus.
  • Expertise in conducting penetration tests on various systems, including web applications, networks, and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in using penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and others.
  • Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and exploitation techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess security weaknesses effectively.
  • Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Reporting Line:
The Penetration Tester will report to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), providing critical insights that support the organization’s overall security strategy and initiatives.
