Role:
As a Cloud Security Specialist, you will be responsible for securing our cloud environments, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with cloud security standards. You will monitor cloud infrastructure for potential threats and work to protect our cloud-based assets and data.
Responsibilities:
- Implement Cloud Security Best Practices: Develop, implement, and maintain cloud security policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and organizational requirements.
- Monitor Cloud Infrastructure: Continuously monitor cloud infrastructure for potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations to ensure a secure cloud environment.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant cloud security standards, frameworks, and regulations such as AWS Well-Architected Framework, Azure Security Benchmark, and ISO 27001.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess security risks associated with cloud services and applications, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Cloud Security Configuration: Configure and manage cloud security tools and services such as firewalls, encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and security information and event management (SIEM) within cloud environments.
- Incident Response: Respond to and manage cloud security incidents, including investigation, containment, and remediation efforts, and ensure effective communication with relevant stakeholders.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud security policies, procedures, configurations, and incident responses. Prepare reports and presentations for management on cloud security status and incidents.
- Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, threats, and technologies in cloud security to continuously improve the organization’s cloud security posture.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in cloud security, with a strong understanding of cloud security principles, best practices, and tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced certifications or degrees are a plus.
- Expertise in managing and securing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency in using cloud security tools and services, including firewalls, IAM, encryption, and monitoring solutions.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address security issues effectively.
- Relevant certifications such as CCSK, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Reporting Line:
The Cloud Security Specialist will report to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), contributing to the organization’s overall cloud security strategy and initiatives.
