Role:
As the Incident Response Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading our response to security incidents and breaches. You will develop and implement incident response plans, manage the incident response team, and conduct thorough post-incident analyses to continuously improve our security posture.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Incident Response Plans: Create and maintain comprehensive incident response plans and procedures to ensure a timely and effective response to security incidents.
- Lead Incident Response: Oversee the incident response process, including identification, containment, eradication, recovery, and communication during security incidents.
- Team Management: Manage and lead the incident response team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure effective incident handling.
- Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with various departments and external partners as needed during security incidents to coordinate response efforts and communication.
- Post-Incident Analysis: Conduct detailed post-incident analyses to identify root causes, assess the effectiveness of the response, and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Documentation and Reporting: Ensure thorough documentation of incidents and responses, prepare detailed incident reports, and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update incident response procedures and tools based on lessons learned and evolving threat landscapes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in incident response management or a similar role, with a demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced certifications or degrees are a plus.
- Strong understanding of incident response processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience in coordinating cross-functional response efforts.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in conducting post-incident analyses and reporting.
- Effective communication skills, capable of presenting complex incident details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or incident response-specific certifications are highly desirable.
Reporting Line:
The Incident Response Manager will report to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), contributing to the overall incident management strategy and ensuring alignment with organizational security objectives.
